Resize bug (Bilinear and nearest neighbour)

Post by ost »

Maybe I'm picky here, but I'm doing some technical tests here.
When resizing a 10x10 pixel image (just a symmetric simple X) to either 10x15 or 15x10 using the mentioned methods, the result is not what I expect. The symmetry is lost. My bet would be a rounding issue...

Im on version 1.97.8 (Sep 20 2010)
Libformat Version 5.76

I believe that's typical for Nearest-neighbor interpolation, ...
  • Adobe Photoshop v6.0.1:

... but I can confirm a bug with Bilinear interpolation :bugconfirmed:

Thank you, XnTriq for this excellent demo. :-) A clear bug in the bilinear interpolation.
