Rearranging images in a folder by drag and drop

I am not able to rearange images in a folder arbitrarily by dragging and dropping and save that order of images permanently. I am sure xnview must be having this feature. Will be thankful if someone can explain how to do it.

That function is currently found in XnView MP (beta), if you want to test it.
