It seems like TIF files are no longer properly displayed in the browser. I seem to remember that they were working in 1.97.5 or .6. I've tested both 1.97.7 and 1.97.8 and neither shows any of my TIF files in the browser, unless I use "All" filter, in which case no thumbnail is shown, just the standard file icon. This is both high and low-resolution, both single- and multi-page. It's not my scanner's fault, because I converted a couple of other images to tif in XnView and had the same result.
In order to show the files at all, I have "All" selected for the filter. Tiff is selected in the list of general read/write files, but files do not show up at all when "Images" filter is used. On the other hand, all of these images show up just fine in view and fullscreen modes, no messages or anything.
I have tested this with uncompressed, RLE, and Group 4 TIFF files, all greyscale. These don't have an alpha channel, unlike the other bug reported earlier. I will send a sample to Pierre if he'd like, but I can't attach them for privacy reasons.
Any idea why? It can't be widespread if I'm the first person to see it, but I don't remember changing anything related to tiff.

I had (and still have) a similar issue with hiding .REG files.

You don't have thumbnails for TIFF?talbot_sk wrote:I have the same problem with ver. 1.98.5 sk.
