Crash when browsing large set of files.

Xnview crashes when browsing large number of files.
I am using version 1.97.8 of Xnview. I am running windows 7 64 bit with 8 GB of ram.

I am doing a search of *.jpg images in my photo library which returns 12,000 images. I am hitting the browse button. The program freezes as it tries to load the cached thumbnails into memory. Using Process explorer I can see the RAM usage go up until it hits about 2 GB. At this point Xnview crashes.

I have my thumbnails set to 268x201 resolution and thumbnail cache compression set to zip. My images are already indexed in the cache and the cache size reported in the program is around 3.5 GB.

It seems like the program attempts to load the thumbnails from cache into memory but errors out after it loads about 2 GB.

I am assuming this is related to: User-mode virtual address space limit for each 32-bit process.

This needs to be addressed.
