Use single-click to view image(s) / enter folder(s)

Post by Dreamer »

If we have "single/double-click" in the folder tree, maybe we could have "single/double-click" (on the thumbnail/file/folder) also in the browser...

[x] Use single-click to view image(s) / enter folder(s) / open item(s) (point to select)

(Update: point to select)

Update:

3-way option group (suggested by JohnFredC):
  • State 1: One-click files and folders
    State 2: One-click folders
    State 3: One-click off

This could prove very tricky to edit images. Then there is the problem of accidental clicks. I think windows is great at not having this for a default behaviour.

I want it only in the browser.

With the current double click you can copy or move files/dirs. by accident very easy too.

I hate also "1 click rename" feature, often I click on file by accident and I must click to another image, then back to first image and then double click...

I want "Use single-click to view images / enter folder" as option and disabled by default.

I second this. If you really want to introduce this, there must be an option. And not in 1.80, please, since this is likely to introduce many new bugs.

Update: point to select

It could be better with this, but maybe it should be added as separate option.

Navigation with this feature(s) would be faster/easier for some users (e.g. for me  ), of course not for all...

There are already two similar options for folder tree - "Single click to expand folder tree" and "Auto collapse", so I think also this option would be useful for some users (not just for me).
