Compare images

Can we have a compare images feature, like but better than faststone's

1st stage is sidebyside like faststone
2nd is overlay perhaps

There is a Compare tool in XnView (Tools->Compare), though it needs many additional features to be truly useful beyond casual inspection of the images.

Also, you may find that the Compare tool in XnView MP (development version of a future XnView) works a bit better. Try it!

THere is a problem with Compare tool in XnView, in that exif rotation is not performed.
or maybe it's because it's a RAW file?

In case anyone cannot find the Tools > Compare ,
It isn't available in the Tools menu in the XnView Viewer.
It is initially greyed out in the Tools menu of the Browser.
CTRL-Click to select up to four thumbnails in the browser first, then the Compare will be available. (It will also be available in context menu).
