For some reason my XnView, updated to the most reason version, has developed two weird new issues that I can't seem to sort out.
The first is that the "layout" I chose suddenly isn't holding, and I have to completely reset it every time I open XnView. I had it arranged in such a way that worked for me, and have for a couple of years, Suddenly it won't retain those settings.
The second is that if I try to sort files by type, they end up a scrambled mix instead or sorted by type. Any other sort setting works fine, but not "By Type" for some reason.
Is there something I can do about this? I have even gone to far as to uninstall XnView, do a thorough cleaning of my laptop, and reinstall it. The issue immediately returns. I am running Windows Vista in it's most current form.

could you post a screenshot?The second is that if I try to sort files by type, they end up a scrambled mix instead or sorted by type. Any other sort setting works fine, but not "By Type" for some reason.
