Hello to all.
I'm a newcomer to this forum, having just installed XnView on my PC
PC Toshiba L650
Windows 7
making AVCHD videos and Jpeg photos with my SONY Handycam SR7E
photos with PANASONIC Lumix DMC TZ-10
importing to my PC with Sony's PMB
editing and mounting films with Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate
I have the following trouble : a group of shots (both videos and photos on the Handycam) has been made with a wrong starting date (day and time e.g. 2007-05-17 15:00 for a specific shot instead of 2011-07-14 21:12) and then going on for about 5 weeks.
I would like to move all the wrong dates - which cover approximately a 5 weeks period- by the same increment to bring all of them to the correct date and time which should have been registered on the file.
I don't want all the shots to have the same new date. This is what I obtain so far with the "change date" function on XnView.
I would appreciate not to change dates one by one on each file (total approx 270 !!
Can somebody help me on that ?
Many thanks

Re: update dates by batch
dear Pierre
Thanks for your interest in my question.
The (unsatisfactory) process I've tried so far is:
selecting "tools"
then selecting "change time"
select a group of files having different dates and time of shooting
there is a choice, either to specify the new date and time desired ..... but then it allocates it to all files.
or by selecting the number of days, hours, minutes ... to add to each file's date ...... but it doesn't use it incrementally, just again putting the same new time and date to all these files ... It's stupid
what I desire is to transform for each file its original date into a new one . Each file having its own time i.e. original time + the increment => its new time
Is my explanation clear enough to help me ?
Thanks in advance
