Hi all,
As a modder (with CryENGINE) i regularly need to view and manipulate DDS-files. For normal maps, DDS-files are compressed with 3DC algorithm, which XnView is unable to handle.
Currently only choice for me to view these files outside Sandbox-editor is GIMP with DDS-plugin, which is good but a bit too heavy for viewing. Would be great to have 3DC implemented in XnView, which otherwise is an excellent tool.
Support for DDS-files with 3DC-compression

Re: Support for DDS-files with 3DC-compression
Couple of files zipped in attachment..
3DC compressed dds-files can be created in GIMP by applying filter "Normalmap", setting "DU/DV map" as "8 bits (unsigned)" and saving as .dds with "BC5 / ATI2" compression with mipmaps. Cranking up "Scale" in normalmap settings will give stronger effect.
