7zip AddOn not working.

Post by em3 »

Hi,
browsing inside 7zip archives do not work for me.

Following message is displayed when I try to browse into a .7z file:
Warning
Format of the file <file.7z> could not be determined

For display of less common format, the following option is available:
Options>General>[x]Display all image file types
I checked that the 7z.dll is not listed in Plug-Ins Information dialog (Info>Plug-Ins Information...>Addons).

The file 7z.dll can be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\XnView\AddOn alongside Unzip32.dll.

Browsing into zip files works without problems and unzip32.dll is listed among available addons. sqx20.dll is also missing in the dialog, but present in AddOns folder.

EDIT:
I tried re-installing the program. This did not fix the issue.

I have no problem with .7z files, could you post an example?

I just discovered that the problem lies with some of my older 7z files, not the ones I create now. I will try to narrow down the problem.

Okay, the problem is only with encrypted archive files that have file name encryption enabled. So, yeah, not a particularly common use-case. :|
