Opacity with Fullscreen text

If I go into the text settings for fullscreen and change the opacity it does nothing. Tried values from 1 to 9999.
I'm running Windows 7 x64, Geforce 550 Ti.

Works for me, value are 1<>100, the text is always opaque?
