XnView says that it has support for XCF images (from Gimp - Gnu Image Management Program), but it doesn't work well. See samples at http://users.vialink.com.br/denilson/files/xcf/.
The file Passando2004_beta.xcf has worse display. Other images show one layer, at least. IMHO, it should show all layers (the full image) or show each layer as a page (so, a multipage image).
BTW, does XnView support viewing of PhotoShop or Photo-Paint images? It works well?
But don't worry. I think this could be low priority.
