XnView crashed when adding certain watermarks to certain images (tried with XnView version 1.98.8 and an slightly earlier version?-- I forgot, on Windows XP SP3).
Adding the same watermark image file to some images is OK, but immediately crashed when checking "Auto view" on "Watermark" dialog while adding to other images.
The "watermark-added-to" images resulted in crashed seem to have the following properties at the watermark covered areas...
- pixels with very dark colors;
- pixels with very bright colors;
- I tried 2 solid filled colored 1600x1200 images, which you can easily create by yourselves, and both result in XnView crashed when adding certain watermarks and "Auto view" is checked...
---- 1600x1200 image with solid filled color R,G,B=59,60,59 (PSD image file format);
---- 1600x1200 image with solid filled color R,G,B=195,209,181 (PSD image file format);
On the "Watermark" dialog, opacity set to 30%.
The watermark image files which I tried to be problematic have some properties..
- GIF image file format
- no more than 8 index colors, including one transparent index color, white, black, a couple of grays (and also bright yellow in one of the test watermark images).
