Drag & Copy (Disable?)

Is there anyway to keep XnView from making copies when I drag and drop files in the same folder?
Sometimes I don't see where I want to drop the files and move back into the thumbnail pane.

If I wanted to make copies in Windows Explorer I would hold down CTRL before I dragged the files.
For some reason XnView thought it would be a good idea to screw this well reasoned idea up so I can make a mess of my folders with copies of my files...

Please tell me there is a way to switch it off.
