MP 0.48 WinXP: Custom toolbars do not persist

Post by JohnFredC »

To reproduce:
  • 1. Create a custom toolbar in Options
    2. Apply the custom toolbar
    3. Observe custom toolbar is present
    4. Close MP
    5. Reopen MP
    6. Observe default toolbar, NOT custom
Very inconvenient!

BTW, this behavior was present in 0.38 as well.

I can't reproduce, do you have a default.bar?

Hi Pierre, glad you are back!

Yes there is a default.bar file. All my toolbar files are stored in the folder with the executable, though I am thinking of moving them to a sub-folder.

The proper behavior (between sessions) should be to persist whatever toolbar(s) the user has selected in the previous session.

A checkbox "[x] Use this toolbar next time" might be a useful option for some users (but not for me: I will never use the default toolbars).

So you have loaded a mytoolbar.bar, and at next startup xnview will not use it, right?
Pierre.

Exactly... MP reverts to the default bar at next startup.
