The image data information in the status line isn't ever shown for the first image.
It's only when pointing with mouse on it - keyboard navigation works fine.
This occurs in all layouts.

Re: RC7: Status line bug 1: Missing first image data
That may be true for the *first* click on the first thumbnail, although I can't confirm it.xnview wrote:Yes, sometimes when you change folderLesmo16 wrote:The image data information in the status line isn't ever shown for the first image.
It's only when pointing with mouse on it - keyboard navigation works fine.

But when you are in a folder, and focus is on a thumbnail other than first - and then you click on the first thumbnail - there's *never* that data.
So my experience is: Only the very first click on the first thumbnail gives the data.
If I had seen this thread first, I would have been posting there - sorry!

Lar5, you have to set focus to one thumbnail of your choice with mouse.Lar5 wrote:Lesmo16 wrote:It's only when pointing with mouse on it - keyboard navigation works fine. How do you actually move focus to the thumbnails without the mouse?
But from then on, you can navigate with keyboard.
When you go to first thumbnail with left arrow key, you'll get the correct data.

In the browser the 'Tab key' will change between the panels in the following order:Lar5 wrote:Lesmo16 wrote:It's only when pointing with mouse on it - keyboard navigation works fine. How do you actually move focus to the thumbnails without the mouse?
Folder tree > Address > File list > Folder tree
If you are in the file list and nothing is selected (bug?), you simply press one of the cursor keys, the first thumbnail will be selected then. Then you can navigate with the cursor keys and select images using Shift + Cursor keys.

Partly fixed.xnview wrote:Ok, i fix itLesmo16 wrote:The field for selected files [....MB] isn't automatically adapted, the right bracket is truncated.
That occurs if only one thumbnail is marked. If more are marked, the right bracket is shown.
Still remains in 1.80 re-test ...
With Preview disabled only number of files / size is shown.
With Preview enabled all info is shown.
Disabling Preview again adds to number of files / size also file name and comment, but the comment isn't updated when I click another image.
