Adding text: Clear as mud.

Post by xn2u »

I admit I'm not an expert in anything photo regarding computers. But I sure would have thought that after I clicked Image, Add Text, I could start typing in the square that popped up and then place it somewhere in the photo.

Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? I'm sure I added text somehow many moons ago.

In XnView, there's more than one way to add text to an image.
  1. Image » Add Text...
  2. Filter » Paint (1.06)
You have to make sure that the font size is big enough.

I am working with fairly high resolution images, e.g. 15-20 megapixel. My text was in fact added but the default font size was 10, which caused the text to be so small that I did not see it. If I zoomed in by a factor of perhaps 10, I could see the text.
