Is there a portable version of XnView?

you can easily make a portable version (use xnview folder for .ini)

XnView does not need a real "install" - it is a simple "copy files to target". But you can use the "ZIP"-files from download page. Unzip it to where ever you want - that's all.

if i use the zip version and run it from a usb, does it leave any leftovers on the computer?

You have to consider where the settings of XnView (and its plugins) are stored. You can select it in the "Options": Registry, program folder, personal folder ...
