When XnView version 1.99 (or earlier) is set to browse a directory which contains MP4 files generated by Olympus TG-810 camera, XnView crashes. This appears to happen on any Olympus MP4 file. It is related to QuickTime on my computer and was resolved by installing the latest version of QuickTime

Re: MP4 causes XnView to crash
Just recently this has started happening to me too.
I'm not saying it is because of XnView, maybe it is because of my quicktime installation
but even in that case I believe XnView should handle this more gracefully.
Here's a link to a sample movie.
I put it by itself in a directory and after entering the directory XnView crashed in a few seconds.

In fact, Firefox also complains, so I might have a Quicktime problem but Firefox doesn't crash.
Here's the output of the error. Hope this helps:

Re: MP4 causes XnView to crash
Indeed it seems I had uninstalled the "Apple Application Support" application because I thought it was useless.
Seems I was wrong.

Re: MP4 causes XnView to crash
You needed Quicktime for the Audio Streams -> Audio: QT PCM 8000Hz mono 64kbps [Audio]
Video Steams are just JPEG according to MediaInfo.
