Very slow moving
Hello,
I've got a problem of speed with moving or copying files. When I click on Alt+M to move an image, the menu appears and when I try to choose a new folder for destination, it tooks nearly one minute before the chosen directory is selected (MP is just hanging). I thought because it was the hudge numbers of files I've got in some folders but I discovered XnView 1.99 has not this problem and it's much more convenient to move files with it.

Re: Very slow moving
When you open destination dialog (Alt+M), on 1.99 it's quick, and very slow on XnViewMP?
Do you have the same list in the 2 versions? Do you have network drives?

Re: Very slow moving
No network drive. Well, after some tests: if the destination folder is hudge, the problem is the same for XnView 1.99. If it's not too big, it goes faster than MP because MP, whatever folder I want to move my pictures, hangs on. After one move, there is no problem to move other files. It's just the first move after starting the computer what gives "problem".

Re: Very slow moving
Opening the dialog is correct. It's when clicking on "Move" or selecting another directory than the default one what initiates the hanging.

Ok, always or only the first time??lian wrote:Opening the dialog is correct. It's when clicking on "Move"
and not in XnView 1.99??or selecting another directory than the default one what initiates the hanging.

Re: Very slow moving
Well, I make some other test - boring because I have to reboot the computer each time
If the target directory is heavy, it's slow in both cases but a little faster in Xn 1.99. So it seems to depend of the size of the target directory. Is is a way to solve this ?

Kof kof... 20 000 files - my God ! Only illustrations and paintings... Well maybe I could classified them but it's more convenient to have them in one folder.

Re: Very slow moving
Hard to say but I have no problem with Fastone Image Viewer: moving files is very fast.
I move them with xplorer2 shortcuts too and it's fast.

Re: Very slow moving
In Fastone Image Viewer ? Or in XnMP ? In bot case the tree is not shown.

In XnMP, when you choose your big folder, the tree view is shown, no?lian wrote:In Fastone Image Viewer ? Or in XnMP ? In bot case the tree is not shown.
