Suggestion - JPEG compression quality info

Post by bodydomelight »

Hi,
In other editors you can see, which compression level was used for the image conversion and it seems XnView misses such feature. Can it be implemented? It very useful and this far it is the only XnView's drawback comparing to others as for me.

Thanks for the great tool anyway!

In addition to the compression level (Q-factor), I'd like to know what the chroma sub-sampling is and whether I'm dealing with an progressive (interlaced) or baseline encoded JPEG.

Properties for JPEG files in v0.53:
  • Progressive mode
  • Sub-sampling [new]
  • Estimated quality [new]
Thanks, Pierre!
