0.51: All Menu items are Grey ... can't be selected

Hi,
Often when I start XN view , all menu items are grey and can not be selected.
Sometimes after closing and re-opening the problem disappears. But now I am fighting since one hour, restarted the MAC and yet all menues are greyed out ?

Uninstalling and re-installing did not help. Seems somewhere XNview leave s the settings ... as it remembers which last Folder was open before deleting the APP. I had deleted all files with names starting with XNV* under Library, but that wasn't sufficient.

I am using the MAc version and am running the MAC Mountain LION.

Sure, multiple selection also ...
Now I opened a new image, changed it and went back to Browser Window , suddenly the menu items are visible again.
Obviously, the problem is appearing after XNview is closed while a volume is mounted - and opening it again after dismounting the volume. The problem is that even if I close the picture and have only the main browser active at closing of the App, when opening it again it re-opens (or tries to) the latest viewed image. And guess if that isn't available, it gets "bugged"
Is there a way to clear all history at closing?
With Windows I never experienced any problem with XNView, on Mac several.
e.g. after cropping --> save as , the name of the file is not suggested ... cancel, try again "save as", several times, finally after 5 or 6 repetitions if I am lucky it suggests the name (of the initial file)...
Nevertheless, I love XnView.
