Add text: Limited to 505 characters

Wolfgang, a German XnView would like to use "Add text" function and insert a really long text. When doing so the text is truncated to 505 characters. I've tried myself with XnView 1.99.1 and could reproduce the problem.

Is this a feature or a bug? Could the number of characters used for "Add text" be enhanced?

Also, I'd find it a good idea to limit the number of characters in the edittext to the maximum number of characters supported. Alternatively, a message box or hint could appear when the maximum length is reached (or exceeded).
