There are times when Xnviemp is doing SOMETHING but there is no information at all what it is doing?
Blank screen, harddisk at work, no repsonse to whatever input at all.
Here it what happened. While browsing files in browser view and onTheFly=true at some point xnviewmp froze when I tried to enter a search term into the quick search input field (at 73% creating thumbnails).
After rebooting I saw that a 8MB db.journal file is present in the xnviemp folder. When I launched xnviewmp (in a launching directory with only a couple of files) it took about 5 min heavy harddiskk activity before xnviemp responded to anything. The xnviwmp windows was simply white and there was nothing I coldl do here.
What was this thing doing and why is there no information for the user whatsoever this thing is doing?

Re: 0.53 Annoying freezing
The db.journal is created by DB engine, so it's normal.
You can reproduce it always? When you enter something in quick search, xnviewmp stop thumbnail creation, perhaps there is a big file in process??

Nah I don´t think when I launch xnviemp it should sit there for 5 minutes doing nothing. At least there should be some kind of information for the user that it is doing something.xnview wrote:The db.journal is created by DB engine, so it's normal.
