That said, it made me lose editing changes on a number of images, this way:
- open a TGA file
- save it on itself (Save or Save As...) with different options ("Bottom up", "RLE Compression")
- the file "last change" timestamp is unchanged, regardless of the state of "Keep date/time for saving"
So Git did not noticed the changes, the modified files were not archived and reverted unexpectedly to the previous state a week later when doing a checkout.
The same happens if I edit the file, e.g. by clearing out a rectangle in the picture
Maybe is there a way to force XnView to always update the file "last change" timestamp?
