Browser thumbnail view: File name in multiple lines
The browser thumbnails view has choices as to what info I want under it such as file name file type, and size. Each takes a line. Since my file names are not that short is it possible for the name to take 2 line spaces instead of one (thus showing more of the file name) or is this a Windows thing? Thank you

Hi thanks for taking the time to reply. Since it is currently not possible does this mean I should suggest it? or is it already in the works? Thanks again

This means that you can suggest it (you already have suggested it by starting this topic. I've just changed the title and moved it to "Suggestions".pintree3 wrote:Hi thanks for taking the time to reply. We might be many to not want multiple line for the name, I am one of them. May be an option in the setting for those who and and those who do not want.
That said, you can over with your mouse to see the full name

I also need this from the very beginning. I work in 3D and texture files are often named like this.
And I need to know what's at the end of the file name. Because at the end there is always the name of the texture type, for example Glossy. Roughness. Bump. etc. And I don't come up with these names. This is an industry standard. I've been struggling with this my whole life. I have to hover the mouse and wait for a hint.
I would call this one of the biggest torments in the program.

Re: Browser thumbnail view: File name in multiple lines
I do not like multiple lines as it affects the grid and those will screw all other thumbnail cells in the row.
The solution - truncate in the middle (like in Settings>Catalog>Catalog maintenance - Directory column), eg
SomeLoooooooooooooooooooooooooongName.png
SomeLooooooooooooo.. →
