0.53 Icons on hovering over thumbnails

When you hover over the thumbnails, icons for rating and tagging gets displayed. This is a great feature. However I realised that this feature only works if in xnview.ini "RecentFiles=" contains a couple of entries. (At least 5 or 6). If there are no entries or set to "invalid", the hover icons never display. This is weird.
