1.80 don't start on Windows 98

I have downloaded the 1.80 version and installed it over the previous 1.74, but at the start Win popup the box with the message "the program has executed an invalid operation..." (my bad translation) and I can only close it.

I'm using Windows 98.

I don't know if the problem is only with my pc but the 1.74 worked like a charm so I think it's a bug in the 1.80 version.

I was stupid enough to delete the old 1.74 installation file, so now I can't use Xnview anymore.

Do you plan to fix this on the (old) Win 98? Or can re-enable the download of the 1.74 version for all the people with old pc and old operating system like me?
