You're asking if XnView has a keyboard shortcut to save a selection directly to an image file?
I don't know of one but would be happy to be proven wrong...
Are you familiar with macro applications such as AutoHotKey? They enable a series of key strokes to be recorded or programmed and a keyboard shortcut to be assigned to the recorded macro script, which should enable you to obtain the functionality that you need:
