Generating thumbnails for multiple folders at once

Is it possible to generate thumbnails for multiple folders at once instead of clicking on each of them to start the process.

Do you know if it is possible to limit the cache only for a certain type file as video or extension as .avi etc. I don't want to have all my pictures automatically cache but only my videos.
