Intelligent searchlist/More search possibilites for filename

Post by Kev »

Hello,

I think a feature similar to the intelligent playlists of music players would be great.

With it, one could define search preferences and safe them for easy acces.

For a better understanding I made a picture to show how I imagine the feature to look like.

Edit:
Since I put the keywords in the filename my main wish is to be able to search for the filename the way it is possible to search for IPTC/EXIF data.
Right now it is only possible to search for a part of the filename. I think it would be great to have the possibility to search with:
"Filename contains" and "Filename does not contain". I don't really know why the filename isn't already part of those search possibilites.

Thank you for your time. :)

Edit 2:
Seems like I'm the only one who puts the keywords in the filename :(
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

You would like to be able to save the result of a search, in a list to access it later?
Pierre.

Hello Pierre,

I want to save the search queries in a list for easy access.
So every time I click on an item in the searchlist, XnView does a new search with the queries defined in the past.

And since the filename is the only way to use keywords that don't depend on the file format or the used pc,
it would also be awesome to be able to search the filename with boolean operators.

Thank you for your time.
