ratings stars disappear suddenly from preview panel

Hello everyone, first of all I would like to thank you for the great job that you have done.
I'm having a problem with the ratings stars icons that disappear suddenly from the preview panel,(I found that for making them visible I have to squeeze the preview panel... but after selecting another image they disappear again ).
I have some pics but how can I upload them ?
My configuration
Processor 2.93 intel core duo
Memory 8GB
Mac OS 10.7.5
