Image-Attributes and Default-Location for Screen-Capture
Halo.
For screen-capture feature, I can not find the options to set the default location for saving and the default image attributes, including image name and image format.
Do they exist? If not, please consider this as my request.
For the dafult file-name, I see that XnViewMP suggests "Screen-yyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm" such as "Screen-2013-09-12_09-34".
Can XmViewMP include the "second" , so we will see e.g. "Screen-2013-09-12_09-34-30" ?
It would be even better if we could set the default file name.
I would use: "XVMP-capture-yyyymmdd-hhmmss".
- When I see the image-name, I would know that it is XnViewMP that created it;
- I do not need any character in the date and time attributes since I know their patterns;
- I need the "second" included so that, within the same minute, I could go on capturing the screen without changing the file name.
Thank you

Re: Image-Attributes and Default-Location for Screen-Capture
You means the 'automatic screen capture' from XnView? If so, not yet implemented in XnViewMP
Pierre.

Thanks, Pierre.
Well, If you mean with "automatic-screen capture" is that XnViewMP will take the screen-shot based on the time/period a user sets, then it is not what I mean.
What I mean is there is an option to set the automatic saving, default name, default file-format, default location for the screen-shot I take.
e.g.
Screen-shot options
[check-box] Save screen-shot without confirmation
Default Name: XVMP-capture-yyyymmdd-hhmmss
Default File-Format: png
Default Location: C:\MyScreenShots\
If I make a screen-shot right now, XnViewMP will name the result as "XVMP-capture-20131019-004850.png" and save it in the folder C:\MyScreenShots\ without asking for my confirmation.
Thanks.

It's what you would like?quapurna wrote: If I make a screen-shot right now, XnViewMP will name the result as "XVMP-capture-20131019-004850.png" and save it in the folder C:\MyScreenShots\ without asking for my confirmation.

Re: Image-Attributes and Default-Location for Screen-Capture
Sorry, I do not really understand your question. I need the option as I wrote in the previous message.xnview wrote:It's what you would like?quapurna wrote: If I make a screen-shot right now, XnViewMP will name the result as "XVMP-capture-20131019-004850.png" and save it in the folder C:\MyScreenShots\ without asking for my confirmation.
Does the question mean that you want to hear other users' opinion ???
Thanks
Re: Image-Attributes and Default-Location for Screen-Capture
i don't understand your problem, what is "XVMP-capture-20131019-004850.png"?
Pierre.

Thanks, Pierre.
The "XVMP-capture-20131019-004850.png" is the name (and image format) created by XnViewMP based on the value I enter in the "Screen-Shot Options" (my request).
If the option is available, I will set the Default/TemplateName:
"XVMP-capture-yyyymmdd-hhmmss".
The screen-shot file-name will always start with the text "XVMP-capture-".
It is then followed by the date and time when the screen-shot is taken.
So, I will have some screen shots such as:
XVMP-capture-20131114-093005.png
XVMP-capture-20131114-093035.png
XVMP-capture-20131114-130417.png
XVMP-capture-20131115-130448.png
And so on.
However, I can change the template text as I wish.
If I am collecting screen-shots for my 'abc' project, I could change the template into:
"abc-prj-sshot-yyyymmdd-hhmmss".
So, I will have images such as:
abc-prj-sshot-20131116-200601.png
abc-prj-sshot-20131116-200633.png
abc-prj-sshot-20131116-200657.png
And so on.
I attach Screengrab option dialogue to make it clearer.
Thanks.

Yes, Pierre. It is a request and not a problem or a stopper, actually.
I hope you agree that it is rather annoying while we try to concentrate on collecting the info, we also have to take care of the screen-shot names, where the files should be saved, etc. Especially, if the 'second' is not included while we may take 2 or 3 images in a single minute.
Thanks for considering this request.
[edit: added PicPick options window screen-shot]

Re: Image-Attributes and Default-Location for Screen-Capture
Hello,
I am sorry for raising the old theme.
I compared XnView with XnViewMP and found, that MP version has simplified interface of Screen Capture (Capture...). In XnViewMP that window missed two options - multiple capture and save to directory. Below I placed the screenshot with both the windows of screen capture. XnView at left, XnViewMP at right. I think, powerful and universal viewer as XnViewMP must have these two options.
