Xnview no longer recognizes hardware

We have a Minolta model MS6000 microfilm reader-printer connected to a Dell PC with Windows XP and with XNVIEW. Suddenly, as of about 15 October, XNVIEW can longer find the Minolta. We have tried the usual remedies, including downloading XNVIEW version 2.05. In Device Manager, Drivers, "Other Devices," there is a big yellow question mark (?). Suspect driver problem. Any advice?
