My WISHLIST

Post by Hollywood »

I'm really liking XnView MP! While using it, I noted some things I would like you to consider.

Use the Spacebar to advance to the Next image while in the Viewer (and the Backspace key to go to the previous image (like in XnView).

I know this is still in beta, but RedEye removal is important, I hope you add it soon.

possible bug: If you are in the Viewer mode and make a change to the image and the use the Scroll Wheel on the mouse (to go to the next or previous image), it properly asks if you want to save the change before acting, but if you are on the last image and try to go forward, it keeps asking you because it can't go any further forward. Same if you are on the first image and try to go backwards. Once it detects that you want to scroll to another image (even if you can't go in that direction), it only needs to ask once and then disregard the changes, and allow you to then freely scroll as if you did not alter an image.

I typed in the Batch Converter a save path, and it properly asked me if I want to create that folder. After I did the batch, there was no way to refresh the Folder Tree (and it did not show automatically). Perhaps a Right Click option to Refresh a Folder or Drive (or even the Thumbnail window)? (or autorefresh?)

On the Batch Converter screen, there are 2 output options for saving, "Source Folder" and "Folder". If you click on Source Folder, I would like to have it autofill the path in the Folder path window, and then we can use it as is or type over and modify it. Often the desired save folder is near the original folder as a small name change or sub folder.

I commented in another post that the preset Crop values only respect the ratio, but not the size. You stated that you would fix that. It would also be nice to be able to add custom Ratios and Sizes (in inches, CM, or Pixels). (and also be able to delete unused entries). Also if I choose a value, I would like it if defaulted to the same value for the next images.

Also on the Crop function, it would be nice to be able to fine tune the crop box position with the keyboard arrow keys.

I like so many things on this program like the customizable toolbars and shortcuts! Also the batch Print is great! No longer adding images one at a time because you have to set portrait or landscape. It is now automatic! :) Thanks for all of your hard work and I hope you like some of my suggestions.
