Searching its sub-directories by "-slide directory"

I usually start slide shows consisting of the files in a directory by using the command line option "-slide directory". But I can not start slide shows including the files in its sub-directories. In other words, when there are no picture files in the directory, even if there are some picture files in its sub-directories, XnView shows nothing. Is this a bug?
