ICC AdobeRGB 1998

Post by lainz »

Hi, I've exported this test bitmap with CorelDRAW to png with ICC AdobeRGB 1998. This looks exactly the same in Windows Image Viewer, Chrome, Firefox, IE, Photopaint, Photoshop..

But in XnViewMP looks like if the color profile is sRGB.

This is the 1st file:

Also a question, this image is always converted to 8 bit per chanel image and I lost the color (in Chrome, Firefox and XnViewMP), in the Windows Image Viewer I can see the right colors, also in the latest IE I can see the right colors.

This is the 2nd file:

Thanks.

Perhaps one source of confusion is that XnViewMP, unlike most other programs, does not immediately redraw the current image with the new ICC conditions.
In fact, it seems you must explicitly close the view window and reload it in order for the new icc settings to take effect.

Also, I notice that jpeg thumbnails seem to use the embedded profiles, but thumbnails from pngs are never displayed using the profile.

Yeah it works.
And yes, the first time I changed the settings I didn't see the changes. Needed to restart to see.
Well, thanks!
