Mouse/keyboard crop box in batch convert

Post by cicciobello »

Add crop box in batch convert preview (in "after" window) to easily and quickly
set resulting image dimension.
After this, user can set crop box dimension and position and pixel fine-tuning
in crop action.

Suggestion: insert button in crop action to crop image by mouse and fine tuning
by keyboard, then set precise position in crop action.

Whohoooo!!!

Be careful, this can be a very big feature, implemented correctly.

It can solve the big problem of digitizing shops. But I think that this should be implemented somewhat/somehow different. We have an in-house program just for this job and, hence, I can dare to say that we have some expertise in the area.

Let's say that we have 100 files to Batch Process.

-. On which file do you want to set the crop dimensions?

-. The crop values are for one file only, or for all files?

-. What if the other files have different dimensions?

-. What if the other files are similar files (for ex. pages scanned from a book) but a "little" to the top, a "little" to the bottom, left, right?

-. Because the 'After' window (sometimes enough) smaller than the entire screen I see some problems in setting the crop box accurately.

Yep. I work daily with sets of hundreds images of same resolution/format and similar
content. I select some "typical" images in whole set ad test crop on this set. When crop
and other action is OK, I select all images and apply actions to all.

Crop (and other actions) is the same for all images in working set.
