Multi Page and JBIG
I understand that JBIG does not support multi page, but is there anyway to compress a multi page pdf using JBIG in xnview?

Re: Multi Page and JBIG
XnView only supports reading JBIG2 files, with the appropriate plug-in, so I'm afraid the answer is no at present...
JBIG2 -- the current version -- is a very efficient compression method for 1-bit (black and white) images and comes in lossless and lossy forms; the lossless form produces rather smaller files than CCITT Group 4 (Fax 4) compression which is also lossless, but the latter would be quite a good choice if you're unable to find a viable solution for JBIG2, which isn't very well supported yet.
You should be able to create a multi-page PDF with 'Fax' compression using XnView, but if your input is a multi-page PDF it might be necessary to extract the images in the PDF first. I think that XnConvert can probably convert multi-page PDF to multi-page PDF directly.

Cday, thank you for response, the files can be tiff or pdf. but they are multi images files, and I can not not find anything in Xnview, or Xnconvert to take multi page image and produce a multipage inage, pdf or tiff.

Your input files are multi-page PDF or TIFF files, containing black and white images, and you wish to produce multi-page PDF or TIFF files with -- in the absence of JBIG2 compression -- CCITT G4 compression?itsalesguru wrote:... take multi page image and produce a multipage image, pdf or tiff.
I'm fairly sure that can be done directly with XnConvert, if you could confirm that it is what you need...

Re: Multi Page and JBIG
An example of converting a multi-page TIFF file containing four 1-bit black and white images to a multi-page TIFF file with CCITT G4 compression, using XnConvert 1.63:
The input multi-page TIFF file was created from four single page 1-bit images with LZW compression so that the file was small enough to upload; the file size is 597 KB compared with the total file size for the four uncompressed single files of 3.10 MB.
First load the file to be converted...
There is nothing to set in the Actions tab, but note that when a multi-page file has been loaded the Preview function on the tab only shows the first page image, it isn't possible to step through the images as for single-page files.
Set the Format to TIFF and then click on Settings...
Select CCITT G4 compression.
The input multi-page file and the output multi-page file with CCITT G4 compression created are attached -- note the reasonbly small file size for the output file; a file using JBIG2 lossless compression if it could be created might be around 20% smaller.
A multi-page PDF file with CCITT G4 can be created in a similar way but as only five attachments are currently allowed in a post I sadly can't include the minor changes required or the resulting 283 KB PDF file in this post... (@xnview , @XnTriq ... please increase again... ).
