Multi-Frame-PDF Scan

Post by DDF »

Hi,

i am using XnView 2.22 on Windows 7 and trying to scan multiple pages into a single PDF-file.

Instead of getting a PDF-file however i get a "tmp_xnview-*.png" file for every page which should have been in the PDF-file.

If i am trying to scan again XnView crashes.

Can you please help me with this?

I am using the german version, but yeah it should be "aquire into" what i am using.
And yes i changed the output format to PDF and checked the Multi-Frame-Checkbox.

I am using the English version and have the same exact problem. I am getting .png files as mentioned above and not a multipage PDF file.

After each scan XnView save in a temporary file .png, and at the end create the pdf...
after you have finished your scans, no message, no crash?

Here is my sequence:
Open XnView
Click File>Acquire Into
(Save as Multi-Page TIFF/PDF checked)
Click Scan, follow scan dialog in TWAIN driver
Scan completes
Instead of a new multi-page PDF file, I have tmp_xnview-3.png and tmp_xnview-4.png. (Number changes based on how many times I attempt this process)

I'm running XnView as an Administrator, settings ini file is stored in %appdata%\Xnview
XnView doesn't crash at this point, it crashes when attempting to scan again, as noted here:

Thanks for looking into it!

This causes a crash when the multipage option is checked, but resolves the crash after repeat scans.

Just one temp png was generated but it still doesn't create a multipage PDF.
