Need of print confirmation

Post by Brother Gabriel-Marie »

Today I tried to print a document from MP.

I pulled up the jpeg into the view mode.
Then opened MP's print dialogue,
and because I needed to set my printer to use the bypass tray, I had to adjust the settings, so I did that - you have to push PRINT in MP's print dialogue to enter the printer dialogue for the printer.
After you confirm your way out of the printer's own dialogue, the document actually prints,
but you are taken to back MP's print dialogue - which makes you think it didn't work.
In regular XnView, once you confirm out of the printer's own dialogue, you are taken back to XnView's dialogue, and when you push PRINT in XnView's dialogue, the document prints and the dialogue closes automatically.

In MP, the dialogue does not close, and the document seems to print when confirming the printer's dialogue rather than MP's - which is different than typical windows applications and is confusing.

I am sure this description is confusing!

The following earlier thread also concerns the Print interface in XnViewMP:

Thanks for replying and being sympathetic!

You know, I never have any problem with my suggestions not being implemented - I don't mind at all, in fact. But I am very pleased when I understand that my thoughts have been considered. I am very pleased to take a part in all this, and you all make it worthwhile.
