highlight files from a list

I don't think its possible yet and I occasionally need to use this feature:

highlight files in a folder from a list of file names.

Perhaps I have 500 files in folder A and I give ratings to 130 of them, I have duplicate or reduced size images in folder B (with same names as files in A) so I want to copy the filenames of 130 files rated in folder A and then highlight their duplicates in B and set their rating too.

Or, in folder A i have deleted 50 files, so I copy all the file names in A, highlight the same file names in folder B, invert the selection and delete (same files deleted from A).
