Mousewheel scroll works only when the cursor is over window

I am very happy with XnView (which I discovered today), but there's one small quirk: I can only scroll between images when the cursor is placed over XnView window. Even if the window if focused, the scroll stops working when I move the cursor out. Could the behavior somehow be changed to working regardless of cursor position? I found no relevant option in settings and googling didn't bring any results either. Thanks in advance!
