Adobe RGB pictures look dull/greyish in XnView

Post by akhan310 »

we a few photos with our canon 50d camera, and changed our color space from sRGB to Adobe RGB, the sRGB pictures came out fine but for some reason the adobe RGB looks dull in XnView. I looked at the same file in windows picture viewer and it looks just like the sRGB file we have taken it does not come out dull or greyish.

I have tried to add my monitors settings to the ICC profile tab multiple other ICC profiles and still cant get it to work.

The only thing that will work is if i take the adobe RGB picture open in photoshop and convert that to sRGB that works also if i take the sRGB file and convert that to Adobe RGB that will work but only if i add my disply profile to the ICC tab in the options menu.

Please advise?
