XnShell 3.5.1: User interface - Options for menu items

Post by helmut »

Last suggestion (for now):

Options dialog: Menu style and Menu items displayed
It's good that the user can customize XnShell and decide on the menu items and style displayed. Though the current options have minor flaws:
1. The order of the menu items in the options dialog differ from the order in the actual context menu.
2. The menu items in the options dialog are displayed in two columns whereas in the actual context menu the menu items are displayed all underneath each other.

Notes on the suggested layout:
- The options that affect the context menu and it's contents have their own folder tab.
- The order of the checkboxes follows the order of the actual context menu
- The naming of the checkboxes follows the naming of the actual context menu - where possible.
- Variables are marked with angle brackets <>. Labels are marked with quotation marks ' '.

-> Cleaner and (hopefully) simpler user interface.

EDIT: The folder tab might be labeled "Appearance" and then even some more options could move onto this folder tab.
