I would like to know how I can transfer my fotos on an external hard disk without losing my ranking, tags,... i can transfert my file with Xn View on a hard disk. But how can i save the catalog if my pc crash? it would be necessary to save the catalog with my foto´s? where can i find it on my computer?

J´aimerai savoir comment je peux transférer mes photos sur un disque dur externe sans perdre mon classement, tags,....je peux transférer á partir du programme. Mais comment sauver le catalogue en cas de crash de mon pc? il faudrait sauvegarder le catalogue avec mes photos? oú se trouve-t´il sur mon ordinateur?

in settings>Integration>Paths, click on 'open catalog location', you have xnview.db

If you move all files another drive, perhaps it's better to change the path in the db (i can do for you)

I install another version...i put my foto´s on a hard disk, it work! But when i simulate a crash (só make a copy of xnview mp nomade on a hard disk, i erase xnview mp nomade of my pc, and reinstall a copy) a information, ranking, disappear! I think that i´m near to find a solution.... Normally it will be ok this approach?

do you have moved your fotos on external hd with windows explorer? the database has reference of old folder
i don't understand what you have done
