Is it possible to parse the filename in batch rename?
For instance, I would like to INSERT text after the first six characters of a filename, or trim off the last five characters.

As you may know there are various Windows freeware renaming utilities available that can do what you want...xnview wrote:no sorry

Thanks for a definitive answer, Pierre. And thanks to cday for a pointer in the right direction. I downloaded the "Bulk Rename Utility" and solved my problem.
