MP4 or mov file in with jpgs in a folder

Post by carversm »

I thought it used to work but if I click on a .MOV file within Xnview browser the wrong program plays it. (firetruck is blue)
If I press F3 it calls VLC and it is correct. Can I just make VLC play the MP4 or MOV file by default?
If this were a slide show who plays the video?
Thanks

'Open action' for video files is 'open in associated program'?

Associated programs does not show .mov or .mp4 as an option within Xnview
and within the Windows 8, VLC owns those file types.

Tools, options, "System Integrations"/associations.
I am trying this under a VMWARE Windows 8 machine , 32bit

Love your program and I give it lip service as a great program to batch rename/rotate and simple
photo editing and have made some video tutorials for our local computer club.

I have done a lot of reading in the forums and internet before asking the question.

I contributed too.
