How to have larger res than desktop photos shrink

Post by davesurfer »

First off, this is the closest match to the older traditional ACDSee I've ever seen. Same preview window and file browser options! It's almost perfect except for a few things. One big thing with happens in viewing mode:

ACDSee had an option to Fit Windows to Image. XnView has this too, but when I view images that have a larger resolution than my desktop resolution the images will be viewed at actual size and will not shrink to fit the desktop. This gets annoying because when scrolling quickly through a pile of images I can't really see what the image is if it's blown up and huge. Is there a way to have larger images than desktop resolution just shrink to desktop resolution?

Thanks for any help!! :)

PS Just saw this post about this same problem I have back in 2008! So I hope this has been fixed somehow like 7 years later lol! :) (http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=16281)
