How to disagree with file conversion to RGB?

If I open TIFF file, program asks me a confirmation to convert file to RGB. Unfortunately, the only available button is 'OK'.

How to proceed?
I think XnView software can only open the image in RGB 8-bit, so there is no alternative: accept that or abort... :(
